Official Opening Ceremony

St Cross Grange Care Home in Winchester, the latest addition to the Manor Life family, celebrated its grand opening on 18th September. Since being acquired by Manor Life in 2023, a multi-million pound refurbishment has been completed at St Cross Grange with its grand opening commemorated at this special ceremony.

The ceremony, held at St Cross Grange Care Home, was attended by residents, their family and friends, community members and local dignitaries, including the Mayor of Winchester.

Guests were welcomed to St Cross with ambient harp music, arrival drinks and canapés, followed by speeches to celebrate the opening of the home. The home’s first resident along with the Mayor had the honour of cutting the ceremonial ribbon, marking the official opening of the newly refurbished home. The event provided an opportunity for guests to meet the qualified, experienced and dedicated staff, and see firsthand how St Cross Grange is committed to providing exceptional personalised care for our residents.

Guests were treated to guided tours of the luxuriously furnished and equipped home, showcasing the 64 bedrooms all with ensuite wet rooms and flatscreen TVs, beautiful communal areas including a quiet lounge and terrace, café facilities, cinema room, wellbeing room and hair and beauty salon.

After the formalities of the ceremony, residents and guests enjoyed a delicious afternoon tea in the restaurant, prepared by the home’s head chef Florina and her team.
